the viral hit "The Race". He gained notoriety after releasing the song while on the run from authorities for a
2016 murder charge, with the song reaching the Billboard Hot 100 after his 2017 arrest.
Early Life
McIntyre was born in Long Beach, California, on June 16, 2000. His father was imprisoned during McIntyre's
youth. McIntyre's mother moved him and his sister to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was eight years old. Two years
later, when McIntyre's father was released from prison, he moved the family to Arlington, Texas, in search of a
better environment. McIntyre attended Young Junior High School and Martin High School. He dropped out during his
freshman year. He was influenced by Chief Keef, Eazy-E, Young Pappy, Lud Foe, and his favorite rapper Soulja
Boy.
Musical Beginnings: He dropped out of high school and began his music career, influenced by artists like Chief
Keef and Soulja Boy.
"The Race": Released in 2017 while he was in hiding, the music video and song went viral, bringing him
mainstream attention.
Murder Charges: In 2016, at age 16, he was involved in a home invasion robbery that resulted in the death of
Ethan Walker.
